SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA DISTRICT OF THE LCMC

LUTHERAN
We are a voluntary association of Lutheran congregations that hold to the centrality of the Scriptures and the Confessions as the basis for ministry and life together. We hold to the proclamation of the Word of God and the administration of the Sacraments laid out in our confessions as our core values.
LOCAL
We are not a hierarchy or bureaucracy, but a congenial organization that seeks to empower the local congregation to flourish in the place that it has been established. We wish to help and not hinder ministry that is already being done.
SO CAL
We are organized around the need to assist Lutheran churches in the unique environment of Southern California to be that voice of Lutheranism that brings grace and mercy in the name of Christ to all we meet. Being far from "Lutherland" in the Midwest, we desire for this district to be a uniting force for change and growth.
